The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is providing guided exhibition tours in Mandarin, once a season or four times annually.

CAG, an independent, non-profit public art gallery based in Vancouver, stands as one of Canada’s leading venues for contemporary art. As such, the tours hope to serve local audiences and are informal events encouraging visitors to engage casually with art educators.

CAG promotes its China-friendly services through the events page of its website, on social media, through subscriber list emails, and in quarterly program guides that visitors can collect for free.

Vancouver is home to a large Chinese-diaspora community and has seen strong growth in visitor numbers from China in recent years. Indeed, an estimated 150,000 mainland tourists visiting the western Canadian city in 2018.

In early September CAG will host Maryam Jafri’s first solo show in Canada, Automatic Negative Thought
