The landmark donation from art historian and filmmaker Wan-go H.C. Weng to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston — featuring 183 artifacts including landscape paintings, portraits, pages of calligraphy, embroidery and playing cards that span 13 centuries and five imperial dynasties — will be showcased in a series of three exhibitions starting in September through March 2020. Passed down through six generations of a single family, the first installation of approximately 20 masterpieces will rightfully explore the theme of family and friends.
